Curriculum Night
Just a reminder: Curriculum Night is on Tuesday, September 6th at 6:30 p.m. This is the perfect opportunity to get familiar with the 4th grade curriculum. Also, parents will have a chance to visit all of their child's teachers at that time. I look forward to seeing you then!

Reading
This week in reading the students will learn to use skimming and scanning skills to locate answers. During science, social studies, and reading the students will be given tasks where they have to locate answers in the text. They will practice highlighting key words in questions or clues and then skim the headlines, subtitles, captions, and passages to help them find the answers to those questions.
Beginning our Third Week Together
I am really enjoying getting to know all of the children over the last two weeks! The last few weeks allowed our classes to get to know each other, understand the rules, and begin the curriculum.
