Week of September 17th

Language Arts
This week we continue to work on our four types of sentences "Bugs"! The children created examples of each type of sentence and are displaying their knowledge on a "Bug". See if your child can give you an example of each. We will also be working on the subject of a sentence, predicates, and imperatives as the week moves along. Miss Wood has been helping the students in the weeks past and will be "officially" instructing this week. She has proven to be working very well with each of your children!

Math
This week we will continue to work on place value in Chapter 1. Students will be working up the second checkpoint quiz this Friday, Sept. 21st or Monday, Sept 24th. Check assignment notebooks to see the official date as the week end nears, as it depends on their understanding of each lesson. The chapter test should be the following Wed., Sept. 26th. Miss Wood will "officially" be teaching math from this week on for the next few weeks. She has already taken over from time to time and I am very proud to say she understands each child's learning potential. She has gotten them to work to their maximum limits. They have proven to be understanding the concepts taught thus far. Keep up the great work students!!!

How to keep up with the right blog!

We are into the third week of school now and you are probably wondering, "What blog should I read?" Here is the answer to your question: "Mrs. Krasnodebski's Blog" - for any class my child goes to with her in her room. "Mrs. Napolitano's Blog" - for all classes my child is in her room. Other fifth grade teacher - if my child is in their class." Does that begin to help you out? If not please email me.
